Phuket Surf Fest 2019 – Thailand’s Biggest Surfing Competition

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting “Phuket Surf Fest 2019″ in collaboration with Patong Municipality, Thai Surfing Federation, Phuket Surfing Club, Quiksilver Thailand and Tourism Partners.

Phuket Surf Fest 2019 will be held from June to September this year, and it comprises of 5 separate competitions on Surin, Patong, Kata, Kamala, and Kalim beaches.  Last year’s Phuket Surf Series 2018 PLUS Khao Lak surf competition received a lot of interest and positive feedback and also made surfing more popular among both Thai and international visitors.

There was a fun surf show by young and talented Thai professional surfers at the pening ceremony of Phuket Surf Fest 2019.  Despite the lack of waves, the surfers managed to show some tricks with a bit of help from jet skis.
