YOUR RESORT – Pai Thailand | A peaceful escape into nature

Set amongst the beautiful nature, Your Resort is a quiet and peaceful family-run resort.  We’d say it’s more on the high-end side and is definitely not one of the common hippie Pai hostels.  This resort does not have a swimming pool, gym or flying trapeze, but it has a superb view of the surrounding mountains, river and beautiful fields.  It is quiet, clean and comfortable—an ideal place for couples to wind down and enjoy their peaceful escape.

The resort is not within walking distance from town.  it is located about 7-10 mins drive up hill from the centre of Pai.  Visitors need to have their own transportation…unless they are Batmans.

Your Resort offers cozy Individual small Thai wooded houses or clay huts with private bathrooms with the usual basic amenities—TV’s, fridges, kettles and wifi.  As the resort is located outside the town, all the rooms are quiet at night so it is quite guaranteed guests will have a good night sleep.

There resort itself does not have a restaurant.  Mr. Golf, the owner of the resort, has another resort called “Pai Lanna” located only 3 minutes drive away towards Pai town, and this resort has a fantastic Thai restaurant…as well as great quality sushi (yes, sushi…in Pai!)

However, there are two options for breakfast included with Your Resort accommodation:

1.) Served to your room: Toast, yoghurt, salad, fruit juice and freshly made hot soy milk.

2.) Mr. Golf, the owner of the resort, leads you into town to Toast Office cafe for a big portion of eggs on toasts, fruit and Pai coffee!

There are no “proper” fixed schedule or “commercialised” excursions offered by Your Resort, but there is something better!  Mr. Golf, the owner of the resort, is one of the kindest and passionate people we have ever met!  He always offers to take the guests to have breakfast in town, AND take them to various places in Pai in his free time—cafes, restaurants, temples, waterfalls, etc.  To find out more about this, click here or simply visit Your Resort Official Facebook page for his recent updates.

Mr. Golf is also the founder of “Sushi Hill”, a famous Sushi bar at “Pai Lanna resort” located quite nearby to Your Resort.  Chef Golf has worked in the food industry in more than 20 countries in over 10 years before settling down in Pai.  Sushi Hills uses both local and imported fish and good quality ingredients.  We had a great evening there stuffing ourselves with both fantastic Thai food as well as too much salmon nigiri and did not regret it!
